Our wonderful staff work with parents, children and each other in a close knit team. We employ qualified, professional staff that are committed to the welfare and development of your child. In return the nursery offers them a sound career structure with excellent training opportunities, good pay and staff award and bonus scheme. Nursery Owner and Manager

Sally Minns - NNEB, NEBS.

With over 20 years experience in childcare sector - No one is more suited to lead our Nursery Team to maintain our highest standards of care. Sally is currently studying for a degree in Early years and working towards gaining Early Years professional Status.

Nursery Administration Manager

Katie Minns - NVQ level 3 in Business and Administration

Sister of Sally, Katie previously worked as administrator for the occupational health team at Hull City Council. Katie not only provides all administration support to the nursery manager, nursery team and of course the parents.

Deputy Manager 

Elaine Clark -NVQIII in Childcare and Development, Birth to 3 Matters, Qualified First Aid

Elaine joined our team 3 years ago and and has worked her way from Nursery Nurse to Deputy Manager. Elaine is not only responsible for implementing Birth to 3 Matters Framework at the nursery but also organizes staff training at the nursery.Elaine works directly with the baby room. Elaine is a Mum and has 2 boys

Senior Early Years Practitioner

Sara Lazenby - BTEC in Early Years level 3 and Qualified First Aid

Our Senior Early Years Practitioner who has been with our nursery from it's early days. Sara works directly with our Bumble Bee group and supports the whole of the nursery room team, parents and children from the age of 2 - 5 years. Sara has been a significant part of so many families lives whilst she has been at the nursery! Sara is a Mum and has 2 boys

Early Years Practitioner and Special Educational Needs Coordinator.

Sam Brown - CACHE Diploma in Childcare and Education. First Aid

Sam joined our team 4 years ago and works alongside Sara with Bumble Bee Group. Sam is also our special educational needs coordinator at the nursery.

Early Years Practitioner and Child Protection 

Rosie Leetham BA Hons Early Years. First Aid

Rosie is the newest member of staff to join our team after qualifying as a primary teacher in July 2007. Rosie works with our Foundation Stage Group.

Helen Thomas - BTEC level 3 in Early Years, First Aid

Helen has been working at the nursery for 3 years and works with our foundation group aged 3 - 5 years.

Jenny Speck - BTEC level 3 in Early Years, First Aid

Jenny joined our team after completing her placement with at the nursery whilst qualifying as an Early Years Practitioner. Jenny works with our Butterfly's.

Sylvia Barnes - NNEB, British Red Cross. First Aid,

Sylvia works with our Butterfly group and has worked at the nursery for over 4 years. Sylvia is currently in her second year of a foundation degree in early years which will lead her to gaining EYPS.

Michele Kidd - NVQIII in childcare and First Aid

As a foster carer for many years Michele joined our team and works with the Butterfly group. Michele has a wealth of experience caring for children. Michele is a Mum and has a daughter.

Early Years Assistants

Nikki Botting  - NVQ II,  Birth to 3 Matters, British Red Cross First Aid.

A firm favorite with our Caterpillar's - Nikki has worked at the nursery from our very early days for over 6 years. Nikki has a natural ability to develop warm relationships with our new starters ensuring a happy start to nursery life for both the children and of course the parents.

Chrissy Boynton - NVQ 2 in childcare and education, British Red Cross First Aid, Birth to 3 Matters

Also working with the caterpillar group - Chrissy joined our nursery from school as a volunteer over 4 years ago. The nursery has supported Chrissy through NVQ training and is also a Mum to her little boy who attends the nursery.

Mimi Minns - British Red Cross First Aid, Birth to 3 Matters

Mimi has been with the nursery since her early retirement 5 years ago. She started with us working the odd day to help out over holidays and now is a permanent part of our nursery team working 2 days a week. Mimi is an adopted to grandma to many of the children in our care and is also the Mum of 2 girls ( Sally and Katie). We really are a family run business!

Nursery Cook  -Jenny Gardham - City and Guilds 1 and 2 in Catering, Food Hygiene

Jenny retired from running a local school kitchen for over 30 years and joined our team over 3 years ago. Jenny is responsible for cooking our lovely meals and catering for any special dietary requirements the children in our care may have.

Cleaner - Beverley Smith

A very important role. Our nursery staff are employed to care for children and this is what they do. Bev is responsible for cleaning the nursery and that's was she does to a very high standard and keeps our nursery looking so lovely and clean.

Gardener - Walter

Walter not only keeps our outside area lovely he is responsible for implementing Sow , Grow and Eat at the nursery and is a very important person in the children's lives. He is also "our dad" and Mimi's husband.
